Meet Rachel Harvest | Functional Nutrition, Behavioral Health & The Harvest Method
Get to Know Me, and the Method I’ve Built
I am my message, and I am my gifts.
This work has been a lifelong journey, one that continues to deepen and expand as we get acquainted. What began as a personal calling has evolved into a fully developed method and team-based practice, making this work accessible to a broader audience without losing its integrity.
Read on to learn more about me, my background, and how my team and I can support you.
A Little About Me
I am a functional and integrative registered dietitian, behavioral health specialist, and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) practitioner, serving clients nationwide through secure video appointments.
My professional life began at age 18, when I pursued what I devoted my youth to, classical ballet. I danced through most of my twenties and became certified to teach Pilates apparatus in 2007, supporting my transition out of the dance world.
Both ballet and Pilates cultivated a deep, embodied understanding of anatomy, physiology, and movement. More importantly, they awakened a reverence for the body, its intelligence, resilience, and capacity to heal. Through movement, I developed the language and tools to guide people of all ages and abilities in learning, respecting, and restoring their physical bodies.
That reverence became the foundation of my work.
From Nutrition to Behavior Change
I earned my Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition from NYU in 2013. At the time, becoming a dietitian felt instinctive. What didn’t resonate was the traditional inpatient medical nutrition model, which often lacked the person-centered, compassionate approach I believe true nourishment requires.
During my studies, I saw a clear need, not for more education on how to take care of oneself, but for support in understanding why self-care matters, and how to relate to oneself with confidence, respect, and compassion.
From that gap, The Harvest Method and Project: Love, Me were born.
The Harvest Method™: A Team-Based Practice
I have always been passionate, disciplined, and deeply committed to learning what was required to provide meaningful, lasting support.
Over the years, I trained extensively in:
-
Functional and integrative nutrition
-
Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)
-
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)
-
Mindfulness and mind-body practices
These disciplines were integrated into a cohesive method that ensures clients are not only informed, but prepared, supported, and coached to implement real change.
As demand for this work grew, I intentionally trained and hired a team of practitioners with the same core skill sets, standards, and philosophy. Today, The Harvest Method is delivered by a carefully trained team, allowing this work to reach more people while maintaining consistency, depth, and results.
Our Core Philosophy
We encourage incremental, sustainable shifts using four foundational pillars:
-
Self-knowledge
-
Self-care
-
Self-trust
-
Self-respect
Every plan is balanced, feasible, and tailored, because lasting health is built through alignment, not intensity or perfection.
Who We Work With
Our clients are often C-suite executives, entrepreneurs, and performance-driven professionals who understand that longevity, clarity, and high-level performance require balance.
That balance, between ambition and care, discipline and compassion, is what we create together.
How We Can Guide You
Through one-on-one coaching with a member of my trained team, you choose your area of focus, and we build from there.
We use an integrative collection of tools and techniques to support:
-
Awareness
-
Healing
-
Growth
-
Sustainable success
I have spent the past two decades as a student of wellness, through academia, personal development, spiritual practice, and therapeutic modalities. Beyond basic care, I have found that fulfillment requires purpose, self-connection, gratitude, and alignment with your innate qualities.
The Harvest Method is exactly that, a harvest of these tools, practices, and perspectives.
Project: Love, Me
At the heart of this work is a language and framework I call Project: Love, Me, a collection of 26 topics and tools designed to shift focus from the external world back to the internal one.
What do you need?
What supports your balance, health, and fulfillment?
That is where real change begins.
Heal For Real
In addition to one-on-one support and The Harvest Method framework, we also offer Heal For Real, a comprehensive, skill-based course focused on building emotional intelligence and real-world resilience.
Through learning and practicing core skills, mindfulness, emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, and distress tolerance, you develop the internal capacity to respond differently, stay grounded, and navigate daily life with greater steadiness.
This is where insight becomes embodiment, and change becomes sustainable.
Serving Clients Nationwide
Rachel and the Harvest Method team provide virtual functional nutrition and behavioral health coaching nationwide, including clients in New York City, Austin, Miami, Washington DC, Chicago, and beyond.
